Menyel-Solarium

Menyel-Solarium, loosely translated to City of the Sun is the location of a strange sub-planar bubble that is linked by some unknown means to the Plane of Magic.

The city is only accessible by portal, and those arriving in such a manner will always appear to do in the same location. A golden cornfield swaying in a gentle breeze as if in a perpetual summers day.

From this field visitors can make their way up a series of floating step stones up towards the floating city.

The city itself appears to be of Fey-Sirona design, or those that have seen the cities of the Fey-Vicis will also note the similarity. While still mostly empty there are places of note within the small city. The first being an area dedicated to the nesting of a dragon, it is here that Solaris the dragon of the Sun will occasionally rest. The city also houses a Mastercrafted Dojo for training those that wish in the martial arts. The city is built around the a large magical structure in the centre of which lies a level 5 ritual circle, although it is rumoured that occasionally the ritual circle will act as if it is of a higher level. The ritual circle is surrounded by 5 stones containing true divine power of lord Helios. Near the circle lies another small chamber containing a device that is akin to the hearthstone of the castle of the elemental union.

At the outer edge of the city circles 9 gates, 4 of which are presently open into other places, the remaining 5 stand blank indicating that perhaps there is still more of the city to be discovered.

Through the Air Gate - Is an area resembling the plane of air. Clouds are solid enough to walk upon and light and willowy trees provide general comfort to those within the place among the refreshing winds that flow there. Those within feel lighter as if the gravity within this place is significantly lower.

Through the Fire Gate - Is an area resembling the plane of fire. A soft ash desert stretches outwards. The heat within this place is intense but slightly more tempered than the actual plane of fire itself. Rising up out of the ash encircling the region are rock cliffs and in the distance what looks like a river of molten lava. Those that travel to the lake of lava to which the river leads will find an engraving proclaiming the place to be "Muldrow's floor"

Through the Water Gate - Is an area resembling the plane of water. The gate is located on a small island with sandy beaches, and shallow shoals. The other side of the island the water depth drops considerably

Through the Earth Gate - Is an area resembling the plane of earth. The gate opens into a small simple settlement surrounded by forest and thick vegetation though which wind several paths. The woods if explored are dense and varied and the earth appears to be rich with a peaty smell. Occasionally the trees and forest will shift locations with the lay of the land changing, although this is not too much of a challenge for those with decent orientation, and for those without all paths if found will eventually lead back to the settlement in the gate. Those exploring may also find a network of caves within the area.

History
The history of this place is largely unknown. However the city is the noted as the location of the very first recorded appearance of the Sun Spear outside the sealie court following a ritual of immense power.

Defences
The realm in question holds a number defences that are divine in origin and similar to those of Menyel Tiriona. Including but not limited too:
The space that comprises the city is re-enforced and strengthened, as such it is only possible to open a portal within the cornfield below the city.
The entire realm is warded, and heavily masked.
The entire realm is warded against spirits with the exception of the realms through the gates and a small chamber off the main magical structure in the centre of the city.
