Necromental Magic

A Dark Magic that enables its practitioner to summon and control the dead, it is not entirely evil in purpose, but neither is it savoury of highly valued among the races of the Elemental Union, the main practitioners of this magic are the Fey–Sidious, use of this magic beyond their race is rare indeed.

The Dark Art of Necromancy

Used by the Void to resurrect dead matter with dark energy, and give them innumerable servants to fight the Elemental Union.

Level One: Sense Deathly Matter: Casting this spell allows the Magic User to sense the local properties of the dead, in order to use for other Necromantic Spells and Rituals.

Level Two: Summon Skeleton: Casting this spell summons a Standard Skeleton to rise from the ground in the defence of the Magic User, the expenditure of a Void Point makes the summoning permanent or until the Skeleton is destroyed. Raising a Skeleton in this fashion earns the caster a Void Point. - Standard Skeleton: An Undead Creature, in possession of ‘Enchanted Vision’, it cannot speak and is loyal to its creator. It has +2 Hits per Location, does ‘Mundane Doubles’ with weapons is Immune to Mundane Blades and possesses Enchanted Tracking (2).

Level Three: Manipulate Necromantic Energies: Casting this spell allows the Necromanter chance to manipulate the Dead Matter in range. What can be done is open to interpretation and with Referee Direction, and if it used to direct an incidental attack, it can be used to target one location to do an ‘Enchanted Triple’.

Level Four: Summon Zombie: Casting this spell summons a Standard Zombie to rise from the ground in the defence of the Magic User, the expenditure of a Void Point makes the summoning permanent or until the Zombie is destroyed. Raising a Zombie in this fashion earns the caster 1 Void Point. - Standard Zombie: An Undead Creature, in possession of ‘Enchanted Senses’, it may speak simple phrases, is loyal to its creator but generally slow witted unless engaging in violence. It has +10 Hits per Location does ‘Mundane doubles’ is Immune to Mundane Blunt Weapons and possesses Enchanted Tracking (4).

Level Five: Death Bolt: Wielding Undead energies, the caster may target an enemy and strike them with this attack, which drains ‘Enchanted Quad Global Damage’ as the target feels life being drained out of them, use of this spell earns the caster 3 Void Points.

Necromantic Rituals:

Use of this spell list requires an Undead Nexus.

Level One: Sense Undead/ Undead Nexus: Casting this spell, allows the Necromanter to highlight the location of any Undead or the location of an Undead Nexus if they are within 30 meters, that might be tapped into in the same way as an ordinary caster makes use of a Ritual Site.

Level Two: Drain Life: This ritual, allows the caster to drain the life out of a target, or sacrifice, willing or unwilling at a rate of 1 Global Hit Point per 1 Minute of the ritual, at the point that the sacrifice reaches zero hits, the Undead Nexus absorbs them into its roots, and the sacrifice is dead earning the Necromanter 1 Void Point.

Level Three: Summon Elite Undead: This fifteen minute ritual is used to raise Elite Undead Creatures from within the power of the Undead Nexus, at the time of performing this ritual, the Necromanter must specify what is to be summoned, an Elite Skeleton or an Elite Zombie, which at the end of the ritual, will rise from the heart of the Undead Nexus and earn the Necromanter with 1 Void Point.

- Elite Skeleton: An Undead Creature, in possession of ‘Enchanted Vision’, it cannot speak and is loyal to its creator. It has +5 Hits per Location, does ‘Mundane Triples’ with any weapon is Immune to Mundane Blades and possesses Enchanted Tracking (4).
- Elite Zombie: An Undead Creature, in possession of ‘Enchanted Senses’, it may speak simple phrases, is loyal to its creator but generally slow witted unless engaging in violence. It has +20 Hits per Location does ‘Mundane Triples’ is Immune to Mundane Blunt Weapons and possesses Enchanted Tracking (6).

Level Four: Summon Skeleton Captain: This twenty minute ritual is used to raise a Skeleton Captain from within the power of the Undead Nexus, which at the end of the ritual, will rise from the heart of the Undead Nexus and earn the Necromanter 3 Void Points. - Skeleton Captain: An Undead Creature, in possession of ‘Enchanted Vision’, it cannot speak and is loyal to its creator. It has +10 Hits per Location, does ‘Mundane Quads’ with any weapon is Immune to Mundane Weapons and possesses Enchanted Tracking (6).

Level Five: Summon Undead Lords: This twenty five minute ritual is used to raise powerful Undead Creatures from within the power of the Undead Nexus. At the time of performing this ritual, the Necromanter must specify what is to be summoned, a Bone Lord or a Zombie Progenitor, which at the end of the ritual, will rise from the heart of the Undead Nexus and the Necromanter earns 5 Void Points.

- Bone Lord: An Undead Creature, in possession of ‘Enchanted Vision’, it may speak, and often will, being a vain monster with schemes and plans of its own, it is a hideous, psychopathic, homicidal creature that hears the thoughts of other skeletons and both loves and hates the living. It has +20 Hits per Location, does ‘Enchanted Quads’ with any weapon, it is Immune to Mundane Weapons and possesses Enchanted Tracking (8). It is also capable of performing its own ritual ‘The Ritual of Flesh Devouring’ in which it and its minions will stake a living captive to a table, and then feast upon all the living matter until the victim has died a most horrible, sanity breaking death, from which the victim will then rise as a Standard Skeleton. In this fashion a Bone Lord can be set loose upon an enemy and become self-sufficient, in fact they often become territorial, even against their own kind. A Bone Lord will wear clothing and armour to conceal most of its skeletal nature and in a perverse way can be quite charming, if not a little unhinged…
- Zombie Progenitor: An Undead Creature, in possession of ‘Enchanted Senses’, it may speak simple phrases, and can be a wily enemy. It has +30 Hits per Location does ‘Mundane Quads’ is Immune to Mundane Blunt Weapons and possesses Enchanted Tracking (8). It may also pass on the Enchanted Disease of Zombification through its bite, which slowly turns a living creature into a Standard Zombie – the process takes twenty four hours to fully gestate after which the only cure is destruction or Divine intervention.
