Warding is an Enchanted Ability that is opened up through initiation by Magic Users following the course of the Manifesto of Magicka.
Level One: Ward versus Mundane Triples: The Magic User may enhance their Elemental defence so that it now protects them versus ‘Mundane Triples’ also.
Level Two: Ward versus Mundane Quads: The Magic User may enhance their Elemental defence so that it now protects them versus ‘Mundane Quads’ also.
Level Three: Ward versus Mind Effects: The Magic user may cast warding to protect their minds, enabling them to call ‘No Effect’ versus all Mundane Mind effects of any level and gain +3 to Deception to resist Enchanted Mind effects.
Level Four: Ward versus Possession: The Magic User may cast this to protect themselves from any Enchanted forms of Possession.
Level Five: Ward versus Enchanted Effects: The Magic User choosing to cast this may cast no other magic while this ward is active, as it prevents all Enchanted Effects from affecting the Magic User – though the Magic User may freely choose to end the spell and they remain vulnerable to ‘Mundane’ effects as well as those that are ‘Divine’.
